STOCKTON, Calif – On Saturday August 9, the Stockton 99 Speedway pays tribute to Harry Belletto and his family’s contributions to the track in the annual Night of Champions race.
Belletto, a three-time champion and 2020 West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame inductee, will be honored with a 74-lap Pro Late Model feature in remembrance of his No. 74 Monte Carlo. Also, past champions will host an autograph session in addition to weekly racing and NorCal Legends.
Nic Belletto is set to strap behind the wheel of the iconic Belletto Racing Chevrolet. The driver out of Ripon, who finished fourth in this event one year ago, has yet to win the tribute race.
2024 Night of Champion winner, JoJo Stearns of Stockton, enters as the most recent to triumph. Stearns defeated Escalon native Sammy Solari in the Stockton Late Model series on August 2.
Stearns battles three-time champ and 2025 CARS Tour West Limited Pro Late Model winner Justin Phillpott of Tracy. Philpott won last year’s pole, but finished 13th after an early spin.
Modesto native Mike David, 2007 ARCA Menards West champion, returns to pilot Solari’s No. 22 car. The Tri-Track Challenge winner collected his first of six ARCA wins at Stockton in 2004.
Ethan Rumsey bolstered his points lead to fellow Stockton native Natalie Harper in Nor Cal Mini Stocks. Rumsey beat Stockton's Barrett Sugden to score his fifth win of the season on August 9.
Fresno’s Patrick Geiger closed in on Freddy Irvin of Modesto in the championship fight for the Fast Kar Solutions Mini Modifieds. Geiger won all but two of the races he entered this season.
The NorCal Legend Series also adds a National Qualifier to the night. Stockton is one of three remaining races for drivers to punch a ticket into the INEX Asphalt Nationals race in Las Vegas.
Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and admission gates at 5 p.m. The champion's autograph session begins at 5:30 with opening ceremonies at 7 p.m.
Adult tickets are $25 while ages 11-15, seniors, and military members with ID can get tickets for $20. Children under the age of 10 and parking are free.
